Hi WWAT:
It doesn"t mean much, but the Jewish people are discendants of the Caldeans,(Iraqi's through Abraham) plus when they were in Egypt, (410yrs.) they intermaried, so I would tend to believe, that Jesus would resemble a combination look.
Not much help but close.
Have a GOD BLESSED DAY

Dear Tam; Regarding the word seal. It is not spoken of in the OT as a seal.
In the New Testament it is not spoken of as several seals only one which is given at the time of the new birth.

Dear Searcher: I looked on Theological.org and saw Mr. Zwingli. This is what it said about him Ulrich Zwingli (1484-1531)
Major work
• “Ten Theses of Berne” (1528)
Importance
• Third most important early Protestant reformer
• Leader in Zurich
• Held to a memorial view of Lord’s Supper
• Was strongly predestinarian
• Strong commitment to Scriptural authority
• Opposed relics and penance
• Strong view of providence
• Held to inclusivism believing that there were “pious heathen” who were saved.
• Inspired and then opposed Anabaptists
• Was a Catholic priest
• Preached exegetical sermons beginning with Matthew
• Died in battle while serving Zurich troops
• Had organs removed from church services
Very interesting.
Blessings - Val

Scripture ... Psa 45:2, Isa 53:2-3, Phi 2:8 ...
God's day to you, wwat, and welcome to the SBF,
Isaiah 53:2-3 is the best verse to describe Him. We know He was a man (Phi 2:8). Some use Psalms 45:2.
The Bible does't give the pigment of His skin, or any other physical description.
There are some external sources -

There are some who believe that people painted, drew Him with themselves in mind. Europe was the center of Christianity. Since people were of light pigment, that is how He appeared.
However, if you look at the Jews of today, I believe His skin pigment wasn't as light as He was protrayed.

Doc,
Thank you for the 4 possibilities. I did not look them up, but merely assumed their meaning from their name. It appears to me that Particular Predestination and Particular Reprobation are the same thing. If one is true, the other is automatically true. Correct me if I am wrong on that one. Also, I didn't see an option for Free Will choice, or whatever. I think it is certainly an option. The thing that gets me is that I think we are missing something. Predestination seems quite clear in certain passages, especially Romans 9. However, it also seems that God does not want any to perish, as Val and Tim have pointed out. The two seem to be in direct opposition, but both have substantial merit in Scripture. That is why I was looking for another option. It isn't like we are going to resolve this 2000 yr debate (or older), but maybe someone had an idea that I/we had not considered.
PS, I did look up the universal predestination. That goes against everything I was taught, but provided a way of reconciling predestination with God's love. Most of it hinged on translating the Greek in to "eternal" or "everlasting" into English, but I don't know Greek. And a flag goes up when you start messing with the translations (ie Jehovah's Witness). However, it does seem to solve the biggest issue I have with predestination. God's Love.
