  Abel's sacrifice better than Cain's?
Heb 11:4
Abel made a blood offering by sacrificing the life of an animal which is what God wanted(Gen 4:4). Cain's was fruit of the ground (Gen 4:3). Not what God wanted.
Why did God have no regard for Cain?
Heb 11:4
If the offering is not the reason, then why did God have no regard for Cain?
  Wisdom vs. knowledge
Prov 1:7
Wisdom and knowledge are different. Fearing the Lord requires both these attributes. I think having knowledge means knowing God's teachings and having wisdom means you are following God and His teachings.
Why did God have no regard for Cain?
Heb 11:4
I do not know the reason, because the reason is not given in the text. Therefore, I do not think it is appropriate to declare that we know the reason. As to a possible reason, we have examples in scripture of God refusing a sacrifice, not because the sacrifice was bad, but because of the attitude of the sacrificer (see Amos 5:21-24 for example). Provision was made in the Mosaic Law for grain offerings (Lev 2). Also, a poor man could even use a grain offering as a sin offering (Lev 5:11).
  What are the seven seals?
Revelation
THE SEVEN SEALS ARE GOD'S JUDGMENTS ON THE EARTH IN THE TRIBULATION PERIOD. THE SEVEN SEALS CONTAIN 7 TRUMPETS AND THE SEVEN TRUMPETS CONTAIN THE SEVEN BOWLS.
Why did God have no regard for Cain?
Heb 11:4
Maybe if Cain had regard for God (a valid abiding faith in and love for God), he would have been concerned with pleasing God after his offering was rejected and not focused on murdering his brother. I think Cain must have been a spiritual wasteland before he ever presented his offering to God.
Why did God have no regard for Cain?
Heb 11:4
HERE IS A PARADOX THAT WE WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE SOVERINTY OF GOD.GOD HAS THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE WHOMEVER AND WHATEVER HE PLEASES, FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THAT HE IS GOD. IT SAYS IN THE BOOK OF ROMANS , WHO ARE YOU OH MAN TO QUESTION THE THINGS OF GOD. WE CAN ALSO REFER TO ROMANS 9:11-13WHERE THE LORD LOVED JACOB AND HATED ESUA. EVENTHOUGH THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG YET THE LORD STILL CHOOSE BETWEEN THE TWO.

  verse referring to grace ,stone
Zech 4:7
My thoughts...The "mountain" is probably an impossible task that can only be accomplished by God's Spirit.
The "top stone" is the final touch to the rebuilt temple when it is completed.
"Grace, grace to it" is the enabling of Zerubbabel by God's Spirit as an expression of His grace. Hope this helps.
  Who is God referring to?
Gen 1:26
I have learned that often kings refer to themselves in a plural way. The word for God in Hebrew (Elohim) is plural, so the statement likely indicates that God was taking counsel with himself. This may also hint at the mystery of the Trinity - in the unity of God there is plurality. Some believe this describes God speaking to his heavenly court of angels.
  SOUL AND SPIRIT
James 2:26
In 1 Thessalonians 5:23 God's word tells us that man has a body a soul and a spirit. The spirit is the part of us that makes the difference between us and animals. It enables us to have a relationship with God, who is spirit. (John 4:24) This verse further states He must be worshiped in spirit and in truth. The spirit is what enables us to reason and know. It is the intellectual part. It is this part that makes us responsible for responding to God's provision of salvation in Jesus.
The soul is what makes the difference physical life and death. The soul is the seat of our emotions, feelings and wants or desires.
Humans have 3 parts: body, soul and spirit.
Angels are spirits and animals have body and soul only.
My understanding of this subject has been deepened by WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES which is an Emmaus Bible commentary Published by Emmaus Bible College is Dubuque, Iowa.
  SOUL AND SPIRIT
James 2:26
The soul is made up of our intellect and emotions, which are part of our human, finite existence. The soul is the part of us that is eternal and that God is working on.
Who did Cain marry to have children?
Genesis
GOD COMMANDED ADAM AND EVE TO BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY. THERFORE I BELIEVE THAT THEY HAD MORE CHILDREN AND AS THE CHILDREN GOT OLDER THEY MARRIED THEIR SIBLINGS.
Was everything really created in 7 days
Gen 1:2
Actually 6 days, the Bible says in
(Gen 1:1 KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

The first chapter of Genesis tells us day by day what was made, ending each time with and the evening and the morning was (x) for the number of the day.

God did not give a name to each of the first 6 days only a number, he did give a name to the 7th day he named it the Sabbath day.

Now last verse in Ch. 1
(Gen 1:31 KJV) And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Notice it says God saw every thing that he had made, and it was VERY GOOD…

(Gen 2:1 KJV) Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

(Gen 2:2 KJV) And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
(Gen 2:3 KJV) And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

  Did Abram respond correctly?
Gen 16:6
First of all, Abram should not have taken the handmaiden. He should have been patient and waited upon God.
Even when Sarai told him to go into her handmaiden, he should have refused, however since he did't and Hagar became pregnant, he should have stood by her and their child. He only wanted peace with Sarai. Sin never brings peace.
  Exasperate - examples?
Col 3:21
Clearly we cannot, as parents, not set limits or rules. I believe the context here is that we shouldn't set rules that we, as our children's role models, don't follow. We should not have the "Do as I say, not as I do" rule in affect. This causes our children to be confused as to what to do. The best way to raise a child (in the ways of the Lord) is to be the example for them. I also believe 'exasperate' means we should not set unattainable limits or rules for our children, then punish them when they CAN'T follow them. Additionally, I think that parents should always explain to their children what they've done wrong and remind them of the consequences. It is unfair, and exasperating, for a child to be punished without any idea that an action was wrong, or not even knowing what they did wrong. Being a parent is difficult. As a parent, especially a father, you set the ground rules of how your child perceives and understands God. What a frightenening and awesome, and exciting, responsibility! As far as an example of some of this: We have some friends who have set limits on their teen that cannot possibly be followed. He has to sit still, not flip through TV channels, and is basically treated the same as the younger kids. I've seen him explode more than once with, "What am I doing wrong? It's not fair!" and similar statements. When we 'box' our children in too tight, they will explode and we may lose them. Be kind, gentle, but firm. Let them know their limitations and boundaries. Never punish in anger and always explain what they did wrong, remind them of the rules and consequences, and love them with your whole heart. Make sure you tell them that often! Hope this helps.
  Was Jesus Christ circumsized?
NT general
Was Jesus Christ circumsized? I guess that by The Covenant of Circumcision in Genesis 17:9-14 he would have been. But it's difficult for me to understand that God would have to be circumsized.
  Why did God kill Uzzah?
2 Sam 6:6
Why would God kill Uzzah when he tried to stop the Ark from tipping over?
when did it rain for the first time?
Genesis
At first, the plants were watered by a mist that used to rise from the surface of the ground.

Rain did not begin till after the "floodgates" of the sky were opened.

Compare these verses:

Gen 2:5 Now no shrub of the field was yet in the earth, and no plant of the field had yet sprouted, for the LORD God had not sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground.
Gen 2:6 But a mist used to rise from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground.

AND

Gen 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.
Gen 7:12 The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

  When did the dinosaurs exist?
Job 40:15
Ya, it does sound different. The date of this discussion between Job and God was after the flood, right? And if so, is it then possible that dinosaurs existed at all. I'm not really sure where to put the existence of dinosaurs in history--is anybody?
Is there sacrifice for sin after Jesus
Heb 10:12
Good afternoon, Otto. Answering your question can be complicated. For this reason, I need to get some idea of how much you understand the Bible. Do you understand that the Old Testament was God's covenant with a specific group of people, the Jews? Do you understand that the New Testament is God's covenant with people of all nations and that this new covenant supersedes and replaced the old covenant that was made with the Jews? If you'll answer these two questions, it may or may not simplify my answer. Thanks, Dave.
  Why did God kill Uzzah?
2 Sam 6:6
Hello Rose. The question isn't so much why God killed Uzzah but why was it necessary that Uzzah suffer the consequences for his actions? God had commanded that the only persons that may touch the Ark of the Covenant were the Levites. He also warned that anyone else who touched it must die. It seems harsh that, concerned that the Ark might fall over and be damaged, that Uzzah should die because he reached out to steady it. Because God is soveriegn, He demands unquestioning obedience. He doesn't permit us the priviledge of the opportunity to question Him why His decrees must be so strictly obeyed . . . indeed He is angered if we seek to question Him (read Job and how God was upset that Job would question why he was so afflicted). Just like you, King David couldn't undestand this either. God is loving, kind and just; some can't reconcile that He could mete out such harsh consequences for disobedience. That which happened to Uzzah was written that we might understand God's character. Read Mark 16:16. when Jesus said that we who believe and are baptized will be saved, He wants us to remember Uzzah. The second part of Mark 16:16 points out the consequences if we don't obey God. I hope this helps . . . Dave.
  Why did God kill Uzzah?
2 Sam 6:6
The inverse of this question is why didn't God kill those who broke his command and had the ark carried by oxen instead of the men who were assigned the task.

In this passage, although God exercises judgement on the sin of Uzzah, it must be clearly noted that he exercised grace concerning the sins of the others present. "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) Unfortunately many find themselves trapped into thinking that the Old Testament teaches judgement, and the New Testament teaches grace. This is an example of grace from the Old Testament.
  Aren't pictures wrong?
Acts 17:29
Romans 3:23 applies. I'm not even sure if it is the first account in the Bible, but consider the golden calf in Exodus. It appears that it may have been cast as an object used for worship of the true God, but it was wrong! To do so today, with pictures, statues and icons is no less wrong. The ten commandments also cover this issue.
  SECOND CHANCE
Rev 7:1
Revelation 7:1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind should blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads." 4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: 5 from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand, 6 from the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand, 7 from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand, 8 from the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed. (NAS)

These 144,000 "Triblation Saints" are still on Earth after the rapture. They have the seal fo God so they won't be harmed.
