Deut 29.29 is one of my favorite verses; simply because there are "secret" things known only to God. Perhaps this question falls in that category. I don't think we can make a definitive answer one way or the other (although I know many have)
I am simply glad that I know that I am going to heaven...and have the opportunity to pray for, witness to, and otherwise exhort others to follow Christ... |

Joseph had 12 sons. In place of Joseph, his 2 sons were given inheritance. 1Chron.5:1. This brought the total to 13.
Then God commanded that LEVI will not have any separate inheritance in the Land. Duet.10:9 and 18:1. So the inheritance was given to 12, which consisted of Jacobs 10 sons and Joseph's 2 sons. |

Thanks! I'll look this up and follow up when I have. I thought there was only 10 tribes that entered promised land including Levi who received the tithe of the other nine tribes who had land inheritence. I need to study more closely...... |

I would like to add here that two and a half tribes ( Reuben, Gad and half of Manasseh) got their inheritance on the Eastern side of the river Jordan and the other nine and half tribes got the inheritance on the Western side of the Jordan. Num.32 Deut.29:8 |

I have found no Scriptural evidence that suggests that Adam or Eve were not given the same chance for salvation that any other Old Testament person was given. The limited evidence we have suggests that Adam and Eve taught their children about God. This is probably a good indication that they stayed faithful to God and are in heaven today

Thanks!! I have found the same info, thanks to your help. That answers my question. I was trying to justify the logical reason for the tithe that supported the tribe of Levi. That seems to work work out about right mathimatically. It's a shame the current day church has attached its self to the money tit. Oh well, God knows!!! |

Portion of the Levites. If you are studying the inheritance of the Levites, it is better to read how Joshua divided the inheritance among the tribes. This is recorded in Joshua Chapters 13 to 21.
In Chapter 13 the inheritance of the two and a half tribes on the eastern side of Jordan is given. In chapters 15 to 19 the inheritance of the nine and a half tribes on the western side of the Jordan is given. Then if you read Chapter 21 you will see that all the 48 cities given to the Levites by the 12 tribes is mentioned by name.
Levi had three sons: 1. Kohath, 2. Gershon 3. Merari (Though the sons of Aaron are of the Kohathites they are mentioned separately. They were chosen to be PRIESTS from among the Levites)
See Joshua 21: 4 – 7
And the sons of Aaron the priest, of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of JUDAH, and out of the tribe of SIMEON, and out of the tribe of BENJAMIN, thirteen cities. (13)
The rest of the sons of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of EPHRAIM, and out of the tribe of DAN, and out of the half tribe of MANASSEH, ten cities. (10)
And the sons of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of ISSACHAR, and out of the tribe of ASHER, and out of the tribe of NAPHTALI, and out of the half tribe of MANASSEH in Bashan, thirteen cities. (13)
The sons of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of REUBEN, and out of the tribe of GAD, and out of the tribe of ZEBULUN twelve cities. (12)

As on today there is no one in hell.
The BEAST and the FALSE PROPHET will be the first two persons to be cast into hell, at the beginning of the Millenniel Kingdom. (Rev.19:20)
Then at the end of the Millennial Kingdom Satan followed by his angels and then all the unsaved men will be cast into hell.
God clothed Adam and Eve with the coats of skins. (Gen.3:21) This indicates symbolically that they are saved by the grace of God. (Eph 2:8,9) So they will not be in hell. |

Shepherd, Deuteronomy means "repetition of the Law", based on a mistranslation of 17:18. The Hebrew name means "These are he words", based on 1:1.
There is history (1:6-4:43), stipulations of the covenant (4:44-26:19), ratification: curses and blessings (27-30) and the change in leadership (31-34).

Welcome shepherd! Deuteronomy is Moses last message to Isreal. It's purpose is to remind the people what God has done and encourage them to rededicate their lives to Him. Moses first address in 1:1-4:43 is about what God has done for us. His second address 4:44-29:1 gives us the principles for Godly living. Moses third address, 29:2-30:20, is a call for commitment to God. Verses 31:1-34:12 talks about the change in leadership in Moses last days. The book of Deuteronomy is also called the book of love and is called the crown jewel of the Pentateuch. It is referred to about 200 times in the New Testament. It lays before us clearly what God expects from those who He redeems; a life of uncompromising obedience. prayon |

Dear sandeep,
The short answer is, "You don't." Those blessings were for Israel, along with the curses.
If you want blessings as a believer in Christ, here are a few:
Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Phil 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
2 Pet 1:3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
How's those for blessings? Especially 2 Pet 1:3 -If we are in Christ, God has granted to us EVERYTHING we need for life and godliness. Can't beat that!
Israel was never IN CHRIST. We, as the body of Christ, are. You don't need to go searching the Old Testament for blessings. Search the limitless knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and His love for you.
Blessed in Christ,
Bill Mc

What does "your eyes saw" mean in Deut 7 |

If Deuteronomy is Moses talking to the children of the Israelites who were rescued from Egypt because they all had to die in wilderness, how come Deut 7:19 says "your eyes saw" there? Only ones whose eyes could have actually saw was Moses, Joshua and Caleb.
Deut 7:19 "the great trials which your eyes saw, the signs and the wonders, the mighty hand and the outstretched arm, by which the LORD your God brought you out. So shall the LORD your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid.

Moses is speaking to the nation as a whole. Not just to the individuals. Also, while the parents would have died off, the children born to them shortly before the 10 plagues could've remembered some of them. Then you have the passing on of the stories as well as the miracles they have seen while during the wandering. Also, the point of this passage is that God is powerful enough to take care of you and will defend you against your enemies.
