ok so why the two Nations?Judah was Gods people or both? And why judah?

Let me add something to Doc's great answer. While Judah is tribe of Israel (Jos 7:16), Israel and Judah are separate entities. The first mention is 1 Samuel 11:8. They were split after the death of Saul (2Sa 2:10). David united the two (2Sa 5:5). There were some friction during his reign (2Sa 19:40-20:2). There was a “permanent” split when Israel made Rehoboam king (1Ki 12:1). There was a war soon after (1Ki 15:17ff).
