NASB 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
AMPLIFIED 1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude and lead ourselves astray, and the Truth [which the Gospel presents] is not in us [does not dwell in our hearts].

Can you accept Christ without acknowledging that you are a sinner? For example: I have a friend who accepted Christ, he was young at the time, and he did it because his grandma told him to do it. Is this possible?
