NASB 1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
AMPLIFIED 1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking under the power and influence of the [Holy] Spirit of God can [ever] say, Jesus be cursed! And no one can [really] say, Jesus is [my] Lord, except by and under the power and influence of the Holy Spirit.

Gos Can Speak!
 Note:
teacher: I went to the website you have in the Update User Info. I read a good deal of the materal and especially the Speaking in Tongues. After considering your rather odd way of posting questions and the answer you gave lionheart I have a strange thinking that may not be too off.

Are you teacher@earthsalvation.com, not the same person as Peter Kevin martell? I believe you are in deed Peter Kevin Martell. If my belief is incorrect please correct me! If I am wrong my sincere appology. However if my belief is true, and I do really believe you are Peter Kevin Martell. If you are Mr. Martell, you are a wolf in sheeps clothing on the forum!

Peter Kevin Martell is out of focus, and is ignorant to base his main teology on speaking in tougues on verses like Mark 16:15-20. There is serious question about these verses as the earliest copies of Mark do not even have these verses. This is often notetated in the side notes or botton of page notes about these verses.

all the GIFTS of the Holy Spirit are GIVEN by the Holy Spirit, are they not? Do you ask for a gift? NO a gift is given, not asked for over and over, that's called a request, or in some cases a demand.

What about getting all worked up about the Serving gifts? Paul said the Speaking in Tongues was the least desired of the gifts. But Mr. Martell makes the Speaking of Tongues to be far more worthy and essential for the Christian life and growth than any other Holy Spiritual Gift.

If you are Mr. Martell than what you are doing is underhanded, and attempting to advertise your website is using the Lockman Foundation for your selfish motives.
