NASB	Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
AMPLIFIED	Acts 2:38 And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Question:	How can we the people of God to be grow spiritually? How do we get the baptism Holy Ghost? How can the Holy Ghost helps us to grow? Thank you for answering.
Answer:	Superdude, I welcome you to the forum, too. My brother from Yokohama, Kanagawa answered well. You do well by desiring to grow. Spend time with the Lord. Give Him the best time. Start with 10 minutes. Prayer is key. Without talking and listening to God, all else is not as good. -Follow the Disciple's Prayer in Matthew 6. There also is the acronym ACTS, for adoration, confession, thanksgiving, suplication. We do need to study the Bible. Have a plan. I'd start with the gospel of John. -Read it in the NASB or a translation that is fairly literal and you can understand. -Read it slowly in a Bible without study notes, so that you get your own ideas. -You may want a Bible with study notes, in another translation. I also enjoy singing as part of my quiet time. Get someone to mentor you. The pastor should know someone who is willing. They can answer your questions. Be prepared to give an answer why you are different. What has changed in your life since you received the Lord. There are more ideas, this is ther beginning Steve
