NASB Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
AMPLIFIED Acts 2:38 And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Church of Christ

Can anyone give me some feedback on this church. My wife and I who worship in both a SBaptist and Nazerene church are curious since my wife is going to begin attending a bible study with some women from the Church of Christ. She thought some in that church think it's their church or the highway.

 Answer:   
My parents and sister and her family are members of Church of Christ. They believe that you are saved in baptism and only in baptism, and are very outspoken about this. They also tend to believe that all other churches are denominational and in effect, not Biblical.
