Why were Shepherds choosen |
|
Note:
|
Dan your right shepherds were on the lower end of the scale, mainly because it was nearly impossible for them to keep Jewish cleanliness rituals out there with the sheep.
I think God told them about Jesus because he had their attention. We see from David he spent many hours worshipping God under the beauty of the night sky.
The rest of the world was tied up in itself and to busy to stop and look up at the heavens. Things of God would have to wait until their immediate needs were met.
There may be other reasons of which we are not privy but I think the biggest was they were paying attention.
