 Question:
What does I am a man under authority mean in Matthew 8:5-13?
 Answer:
Hello wdctwin1

The centurion understood the proper use of authority and submission in his life as a Roman officer. He could see the same relationship working in Jesus' life between His relationship to the Father and the works He performed.

Because of this, the centurion could say that the Lord's presence was not needed, but just a word could be spoken.
