Can Christians Eat Halal Meat? |

Hi,
Here in Fiji we have a lot of Muslims and because of this our butchers and stores are selling only Halal meat.
Since, Muslims will only eat Halal meat. Is it okay for christians to eat Halal meat? Not sure what Halal meat?
where in the scripture where in the scripture supports this? As I know that it says not to eat food that has been ofered to idols in the New Testament!
