Welcome to the Forum.
stjohn was making reference to the fact, that everything you write on the forum is in the public view, whether it be an answer, note, or even your private profile.
But unlike the answers, and notes you might write, you can go back to your Profile to change things from time to time. All you need to do is, click on your name, that will take you to your Profile, once there, look at the bottom where you will see "Update User Info" click on that, and you will then go to the page for changing things in your Profile
