NASB					1 Cor 1:17 ^AFor Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ did not send⁶⁴⁹ me to baptize⁹⁰⁷, but to preach²⁰⁹⁷ the gospel²⁰⁹⁷, ^Bnot in ¹cleverness⁴⁶⁷⁸ of speech³⁰⁵⁶, so²⁴⁴³ that the cross⁴⁷¹⁶ of Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ would not be made²⁷⁵⁸ void²⁷⁵⁸.
AMPLIFIED					1 Cor 1:17 For Christ (the Messiah) sent me out not to baptize but [to evangelize by] preaching the glad tidings (the Gospel), and that not with verbal eloquence, lest the cross of Christ should be deprived of force and emptied of its power and rendered vain (fruitless, void of value, and of no effect).
