I'll Keep it simple for you. At Romans 1:20 is stats" For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable." Explain simple things like how we as Gods creation can see, hear, taste, etc.... He didnt have to give us these abilities. We can live without them. The fact that we can see in color, taste different flavors shows that whoever made us was loving and wanted us to enjoy life. Another example, think about the power of Jehovah God, the universe in particular. It is perfect, the operation and how it looks. If the sun comes a thickness of a strain of hair closer we would burn or away from us we would freeze. One scientist said, we cant live within 90 miles of the sun even if it was just the tip of a ball point pin worth. Thats power!

Yes, the kingdoms(Governments) of this world is Satan's property 1John 5:19 says "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one(Satan)." Jesus also not only referred to satan as "the ruler of the world" in John 14:30 but he said that his(Jesus)"Kingdom was not part of this world."Plus, if it wasn't satans to give how could it be a temptation

Scriptures for employment? |

Greetings Onuoha,
Nowhere in Scripture does God promise employment or promise enhanced prospects of employment. But it is good to hire those who need employment (Deut. 24:14-15) and give fair wages (Lev. 19:13). Showing concern for servants (Matt. 8:5-13) is commendable along with providing duty shifts (2 Kings 11:4-8) while workers earn their pay (Matthew 10:10; Luke 10:7; 1 Tim. 5:18). Paul was a model of daily conduct and employment (2 Thess. 3:6-10) and had much to say about the relationship between slaves and masters (Ephesians 6:5-9; Col. 3:22-25, 4:1; Philemon). It is good to be a trustworthy employee (Titus 2:9-10), even if you have to support yourself (1 Cor. 9:6-7) as a tent maker (Acts 18:1-3).
Blessings to you,
Makarios

Greetings Trebacannon,
You ask, "tell me the answer to 1 Cor 15:35"
1 Cor. 15:35 "But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?" (KJV)
Here is some commentary on this verse:
"15:35-50 Here Paul deals with two common errors in regard to the nature of the resurrection body: (1) that it is the same body that was laid in the grave, simply reconstituted; and (2) that the new body is unrelated to the original one. Paul here explains that it is the body God has chosen (v. 38), related to the former (v. 36) yet different (vv. 39-41)." (1)
I hope that this helps!
Blessings to you,
Makarios

dka: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! I can give good biblical reasons for asking forgiveness. The Church has a biblical responsibility to discipline by removing ones name from membership, until repentance takes place. If there is no discipline, with the goal to bring the person or persons back to the fellowship of believers, then that would allow for immorality to have the churches approval. Hebrews 13:4. The biblical example of
1Corinthians 5. Look close at 1Corinthians 5:9. 1Corinthians 6:12-20.
Sexual immorality is not the only reason for didcipline, there is a list of other reasons as well. Asking a fallen member to seek the frogiveness of the church should be a very healing experience for all concerned. Remember this does not effect just the female, but those who have a vested interest in her spiritual life. Think how others who knew she has fallen, might consider if she can do this so can they.
I have see this very circunstance happen in a church where I was pastor. I saw and know the heartache of both sides. Without confessing and forgiveness the healing is incomplete. I encourage you to tell the femele to trust the Lord to heal the situation. I hope this allows you to see why it is biblical for this to happen. Blessings.

While there may be scripture about us being one body that could be misconstrued to bring about this type of practice.
I cannot think of a place in the bible where this practice has taken place or even a teaching in order to be a guide for us.
The question then arises. Has this taken place before only with other girls in the same position or is this a common practice where anyone in the congregation having committed any kind of sin had to do the same?
Because Jesus did say Joh 8:7.

ddhome: Beja and Lionheart have given excellent responses. I would add just a little more, if I may.
Be a witness for Christ so those who do not believe may see Christ in you and ask why you are different. Share what Christ has done in your life, and pray for those you have a burden for.
Perhaps most important is don't assume to do the Holy Spirits work. The Holy Spirit convicts, and tugs at the soul of man. If someone rejects the pulling of the Holy Spirit and rejects the Holy Spirit pleading to surrender to Jesus Christ, then that becomes the unforgiveble sin when they die. Sharring Christ is our responsibility, the conviction of sin and pleading is the work of the Holy Spirit. The rest is up to the person. I hope this helps.

If memory serves, the Mormons teach that Jesus and Lucifer are spirit brothers.
But, as Brad has already pointed out, there is no Scripture to support this notion.

Hi, newman...
Welcome to the forum!
John MacArthur has a very good commentary. Another good one is "A Commentary on the Old and New Testaments" by Robert Jamieson, A. R. Fausset and David Brown. Still and all, my favorite is the classic by John Gill.

THE SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE OF NUMBERS
This Is Appendix 10 From The Companion Bible.
Numbers are used in Scripture, not merely as in Nature, with supernatural design, but with spiritual significance, which may be summarised as follows
ONE. Denotes unity, and commencement. The first occurrences of words or utterances denote their essential significance, in interpretation. Words that occur only once, in the originals, are emphatic and important. First day, Light. The first occurrences of all important words and expressions are noted in the margin.
TWO. Denotes difference. If two different persons agree in testimony it is conclusive. Otherwise two implies opposition, enmity, and division, as was the work of the Second day. Compare the use of the word "double" applied to "heart", "tongue", "mind", etc.
THREE. Denotes completeness, as three lines complete a plane figure. Hence, three is significant of Divine perfection and completeness. The third day completes the fundamentals of creation-work. The fourth, fifth, and sixth days are the counterpart and repetition of the first, second, and third, and correspond respectively. (See the structure of Genesis 1) The number, three, includes resurrection also; for on the third day the earth rose up out of the deep, and fruit rose up out of the earth.
FOUR. Denotes creative works (3 plus 1), and always has reference to the material creation, as pertaining to the earth, and things "under the sun", and things terrestrial.
FIVE. Denotes Divine grace. It is 4 plus 1. It is God adding His gifts and blessing to the works of His hands. The Hebrew Ha'aretz (the earth), by "Gematria" (that is to say the addition of the numerical value of the letters together) is a multiple of four, while Hashamayim (the heavens) is a multiple of five. The Gematria of (charis), the Greek for Grace, is also a multiple of five. It is the leading factor in the Tabernacle measurements.
SIX. Denotes the human number. Man was created on the sixth day; and this first occurrence of the number makes it (and all multiples of it) the hall-mark of all connected with man. He works six days. The hours of his day are a multiple of six. Athaliah usurped the throne of Judah six years. The great men who have stood out in defiance of God (Goliath and Nebuchadnezzar and Antichrist) are all emphatically marked by this number.
SEVEN. Denotes spiritual perfection. It is the number or hall-mark of the Holy Spirit's work. He is the Author of God's Word, and seven is stamped on it as the water-mark is seen in the manufacture of paper. He is the Author and Giver of life; and seven is the number which regulates every period of Incubation and Gestation, in insects, birds, animals, and man.
EIGHT. Denotes resurrection, regeneration; a new beginning or commencement. The eighth is a new first. Hence the octave in music, colour, days of the week, etc. It is the number which has to do with the LORD, Who rose on the eighth, or new "first-day". This is , therefore, the Dominical number. By Gematria (see above), (Jesus) makes the numbers 888. It, or its multiple is impressed on all that has to do with the Lord's Names, the Lord's People, the Lord's works.
NINE. Denotes Finality of judgment. It is 3 x 3, the product of Divine completeness. The number nine, or its factors or multiples, is seen in all cases when judgment is the subject.
TEN. Denotes Ordinal perfection. Another new first; after the ninth digit, when numeration commences anew.
ELEVEN. Denotes disorder, disorganization, because it is one short of the number twelve (see below).
TWELVE. Denotes Governmental perfection. It is the number or factor of all numbers connected with government: whether by Tribes or Apostles, or in measurements of time, or in things which have to do with government in the heavens and the earth.
THIRTEEN. Denotes rebellion, apostasy, defection, disintegration, revolution, etc. The first occurrence fixes this (Genesis 14:4); and the second confirms it (Genesis 17:25). It, and its multiples, are seen in all numbers, and in the Gematria (see above) of all names and passages that are associated with rebellion, etc.
SEVENTEEN. Denotes a combination of spirit and order (10 plus 7). It is the seventh prime number (as 13 is the sixth prime number).

ddhome,
Two things.
1.) Pray.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4,6
And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (on to verse 6) For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness", has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Lets observe two things from this passage. First, it is not simply a lack of being convinced that hinder people from accepting the gospel of Jesus Christ, but rather it is a supernatural hindrince by the god of this world (Satan.) Second, the cure is not a better arguement, a nice power point, asking the right questions, and certainly not altering the gospel! Rather the cure is God himself shining light into their heart such that they understand the gospel. That they would perceive, "the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." So we have supernatural obsticals for which nothing but the power of God will suffice to overcome. Therefore I say to you pray! Pray and pray until every word you speak to them has been saturated in prayer.
2.) Preach Christ crucified. Preach Christ dying specifically for OUR sins. Preach 2 Cor 5:21 "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
While even our very ability to perceive the gospel to be what it is, is a divine act of God to open our eyes, even so God has appointed to divinely open our eyes in the preaching of the gospel.
Romans 10:13-17
"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are teh feet of those who preach the good news!' But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, 'Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?' So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."
See what it says here, faith comes from hearing the word of Christ. So therefore preach Christ!
In summary, pray continually for the individual because their belief will not happen without a divine act of God (John 6:65.) And preah Christ, because God has chosen to do this wonderous act through the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ! (1 Cor 1:21).

While I whole heartedly believe 1Tim 2:12. I do not in the case of a woman song leader believe that this verse or any of the other verses forbidding women to talk in church would apply. There isn't any usurping of authority or the teaching of man. When it comes to the point of worshiping the Lord were all equal.

The answer is yes, maybe, and no.
The timing of the tribulation is what is at debate. If you are a pre-tribulation thought, then only unsaved go through the tribulation, if you are mid-tribulation, then Christians go through half of the tribulation before the rapture occurs and if you are a post-tribulation, then as you guessed, you go through the whole tribulation.
I am of the belief of the pre-tribulation. Here is a link www.gotquestions.org/tribulation.html that explains it a little more.
Now with that being said, there are others who disagree and can provide support for the belief of mid- or post-tribulation. The key thing is to be ready for the coming of our Lord and Savior regardless of when the tribulation comes.
