1 What does Romans 2:1 mean. As Christians Answer Rom 2:1 sm107fish Tue 02/5/08, 1:22pm 199570
i too have pondered this verse and i wonder if we should remember that there is a difference between judging the person and judging the sin? after accepting Jesus into our lives, we are able to recognize sin and judge it to be such. We can judge a sin to be sin and not judge the person that is doing sinful things.
2 What does Romans 2:1 mean. As Christians Note Rom 2:1 CDBJ Tue 02/5/08, 2:10pm 199573
  Greetings,
I believe it helps when we stop and realize it’s the old sin nature within us that produces the overt action of an actual sin; when our volition gives in to temptations and none of us are secure from the problem until such time as we will be removed from the flesh; by death or the rapture which ever occurs first.
1 John 1:7-8
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Paul himself realized his shortcomings with the problem:
Romans 7:24-25
Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? 25Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

The recipients of the righteousness of God in Christ have the evidence of two natures, as it were; but only one is in control at any given point in time.
Ephes. 4:30-32
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

The exercise of 1Jn. 1:9 eliminates a host of problems before they get too far out of hand.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Have a great day, CDBJ
