Why not use the definite article "the" but the indefinite article "a"?

I believe your question falls under what is know as the Grandville Sharp rule or construction in the Koine Greek.

You have the right rule, but the wrong language. :-)
Granville Sharp's rule applies to Greek, not Hebrew. ;-)

Dear CDBJ and Tim,
Hmmm...bad for me...I've already found it hard to grasp the grammatcal rule of English, now...it involves both Greek and Hebrew :-( Please bear with me - this little Chinese woman.
Well, my point for asking the question, when the phrase use the indefinite article "a", does it attribute to the implication that there is more than one "Son of Man" for (as far as I could understand) it usually mean the ONLY/SPECIFIC one when "the" (definite article) is used.
So, in this case, what does Daniel's message convey in the sense of the Only Son of Man?
