1 Why ethnarchês in 2 Cor 11:32? Note Bible general Archive 3 Dale DePriest Wed 06/20/07, 3:30pm 190034
Thanks for the response. I have read that page previously but it does not answer my question. It says that a goal is readable. Using obscure works that need an unabridged dictionary to even find them does not qualify as readable to me. I really like my NASB which I call New Accurate Standard Bible but this particular verse has me stumped since using this word doesn't seem to add anything to the understanding as was changed from the ASV so there must have been a reason that I am not getting.
2 Reconciling Eph 2:8-9, with Rom 2:6-7. Answer Rom 2:1 Dale DePriest Wed 06/20/07, 11:13am 190031
The Romans 2 verses are not talking about saved people. Check the context. The entire passage is about the judgment and wrath of God against sinners. He is talking about a judgment based on the fact that they are without excuse Rom 2:1
3 Why ethnarchês in 2 Cor 11:32? Answer Not Specified Dale DePriest Wed 06/20/07, 11:02am 190029
Is there any good reason to translate 2 Cor 11:32 using the word ethnarchês in the NASB which is a transliteration of the Greek instead of governor or city governor as is done in every other translation? They can't really expect that we would know this word.
